"Whale Song of the Chumash" - Music: These sacred songs have been passed down by Ojai's  Native Chief, the Honorable Vincent Tumamait, direct lineal descendant of the "Island People" from Mashchal, Santa Cruz Island, (also known as Orizaba). Adopt-a-Bone Project: Take part in the Ojai Valley Whale Society’s whale exhibition by participating in the Ojai Whale “Adopt”-a-Bone Project. “Adopt” a bone, and your name-or the name of a person, school, or class you wish to honor-will be displayed with the long-term exhibition of the skeleton. When you make your payment, you will receive a “Certificate of Adoption”, and your gift will also be recognized in the Society’s report. Gifts to the “Adopt”-a-Bone Project are used for the re-articulation/re-creation and exhibition of the Ojai whale skeleton at a museum that will sustain programs of research, exhibits, publications, music and education.
